Avocado - the 'A' fruit



The avocado is a tree native to Mexico and Central America.  Avocado or alligator pear, is botanically a large berry that contains a single seed.  They have green skinned, fleshy body that may be pear-shaped, egg-shaped, or spherical. [from Wikipedia]


Avocados are rich in B-complex vitamins and essential oils and anti inflammatory.  They soothe skin that is red, irritated or blotchy. They are also helpful for lowering levels of cholesterol, which lowers the risk of heart disease.  Beside containing oleic acid, a monosaturated fatty acid that plays a role in lowering cholesterol , it also contain high levels of vitamin E which acts as a powerful antioxidant and vitamin K.
